AREA FOREST FIRE MAY 30, 2006
A sincere thank you for the hard work and the time it takes to do the job of
a volunteer firefighter or EMS technician. This forest fire was a
cooperative effort of the MN DNR, Voyageurs National Park and the Kabetogama
Fire and EMS Department. The fire was called in to 911 at about 4:30pm and
at 10:00 the department was back at the hall. The MN DNR continued on site
for 2 more days to be sure that it was out with portable pumps that they set
up from the beaver ponds on the first day.
