WINTER REPORT
ARROWHEAD STATE TRAIL - thanks to the MN DNR
The entire Arrowhead is groomed and in very good condition. Use caution when crossing the bridge in the Lost Lake swamp due to thin ice and open water. This bridge is located two miles north on the Arrowhead from the Hwy 1 crossing. Trail conditions remain very good. Conditions and snow levels will decrease over the weekend due to forecasted temps in the mid-40s Friday through Monday. Grooming operations during this predicted warm stretch may be impacted. In warm weather such as this, it does more damage to a trail to groom it than to wait until it cools down below freezing again. For all trails, please use caution, travel at appropriate speeds, and stay to the right.
UPDATED ARROWHEAD TRAIL REPORT?
ASH RIVER/KABETOGAMA AREA
Feb. 15, 2017: Last week with the fresh snow we were able to get our trails into mint condition. We have weather moving in that could play havoc on these trails so we put it in your hands. We have thousands of acres of frozen lakes to play on, please do it there. Save the trails, careful in the corners. Zero to 50, use the lake for that as well. OOPS 45 in the park. Our operators work hard to get these trails in great shape for you the rider, show some respect. Save some for the next rider. We'll see you on the trail.
UPDATED KAB/ASH RIVER REPORT?
INTERNATIONAL FALLS AREA
2/15/2017: Once again our trails are in great shape, all have been recently groomed. All other clubs in the area I've contacted, say the same thing. Unfortunately the weather report is not in our favor for a few days. But with that being said, get out and enjoy the greatest trails, but please take it easy on the corners etc so when it does cool down we can get them back in shape. Remember all trails head to the Thunderbird Lodge on Saturday for our 9th annual radar run for cancer. It starts at noon and runs until three with registration starting at 11:30. Have fun and be safe.
