The annual Kabetogama/Ash River fishig contest is about to start. Send your pictures of fish with your name, city, what resort you may have been staying at & size and weight of the fish, to Ellen at Gateway Store (gatewaybp2003@yahoo.com). And send photos of all the fun you had on your vacation up nort'! Wildlife, scenery, sunsets, sunrises....
The Contest will run from Opening Day (May 9th) through August 24th with the Radio Finale on August 29th. The fishing report on the radio with Jerry Franzen will be on Mondays at 9:05 and will be on every Monday throughout the summer.
We are very excited about the season to come - we hope you are also. We will be sending pictures weekly to Outdoors Weekly and the Cook-News Herald. As sizes qualify we will send them to The Duluth News and the Mpls. Star-Trib. There are many web sites that post our pictures as well. You can post your own photos to Kab/Ash River Fishing Contest. They will also be posted to the at www.voyageurscountry.com
Fish have to be caught in Kab, Ash River or Namakan to be eligible.
